What are Event Activations?
Every corporate event has the same basic ingredients — a venue, catering, a schedule. What makes people talk about your event afterward is what happens in between the agenda items.
That’s what activations are: custom, interactive experiences woven into your event that give guests something to do, make, or take home — not just watch.
We design and build activations around your brand, your audience, and your budget, from a single standout station to a full lineup spread across your event.
What Makes a Good Activation?
The best activations share three things:
- They’re interactive (guests participate, not just observe)
- They’re on-brand (customized to reflect your company, not generic rental equipment), and
- They’re memorable enough that people are still talking about them after the event ends.
Below are a few of the activations we build most often — each one fully customizable to your event’s theme, brand, and guest count.
Activation Examples
Design-Your-Own Hat Bar (Cowboy Hats, Beanies & Trucker Hats)
Guests design and customize their own hat on-site — choose the style (cowboy hat, beanie, or trucker hat), then add patches, pins, embroidery, or brand elements to make it their own. A hands-on favorite for western-themed events, team offsites, or brand activations where guests leave with something they’ll actually wear again.
Build-Your-Own T-Shirt Station
Similar concept, different canvas — guests customize their own t-shirt with your branding, event graphics, or their own creative additions. Great for team-building days and multi-day conferences where a shared, wearable keepsake reinforces the event long after it ends.
Oyster Shucking Experience
A distinctly Pacific Northwest activation — guests learn to shuck oysters fresh, guided by an expert, often paired with a broader raw bar or seafood spread. A memorable, regionally-rooted activation that’s hard to replicate anywhere else in the country.
Craft Kits
A hands-on craft kit station where guests build or make something to take home — LEGO kits, guided craft projects, and similar kit-based activities. Flexible enough to match your event’s theme and guest count, from a quick tabletop activity to a larger collaborative build. These are typically a hit at family-friendly events with younger attendees.
Coffee, Smoothie, & Mocktail Bar
A barista- or bartender-style station serving custom coffee drinks, smoothies, or mocktails — a versatile addition that works for morning sessions, afternoon breaks, or evening receptions alike.
DIY Cocktail Kits
A build-your-own cocktail (or mocktail) station where guests mix their own drinks from a curated kit — a lower-key, conversational activation that works well for evening events, receptions, and holiday parties.
Floral Arrangement Class
A guided, hands-on floral design experience — guests build their own arrangement to take home. A polished, low-key activation that works especially well for daytime events, client appreciation gatherings, or any group that skews toward a more relaxed, creative pace.
Tasting Experiences (Chocolate, Wine, or Cheese)
Guided tastings led by a local expert — chocolate, wine, cheese, or a combination. Works well as a standalone reception activation or paired with another station, and scales easily from an intimate group to a large event.
Live Artist / Mural Painting
A live artist creates a mural or art piece throughout your event, sometimes with guest input or contributions. We’ve leaned into Seattle’s grunge and street-art roots before with live spray-paint mural work — a bold, distinctive option for brands wanting something visually memorable.
AI Photo Booth
One of several photo and video options we offer: an AI-powered photo booth that generates creative, on-brand images guests can take home digitally. A fun, low-effort addition alongside any of the activations above — not a standalone rental, but part of a fuller activation lineup.
Additional activations available on request — if you have a concept in mind, we can likely build it or something close to it.

FAQ
An event activation is an interactive, hands-on experience built into a corporate event — something guests actively participate in, rather than just observe. Common examples include custom hat building stations, craft kits, and tastings.

Yes — every activation we build can be customized to your company’s branding, colors, and messaging, from custom patches and graphics to fully branded setups.
This varies by activation type and format — some games and activities can be done by a single person, like Lego building or craft kits, up to large-format gameshows and art displays for hundreds of guests to enjoy at one time. For many activations, like the custom beanie bar or hat bar, we do recommend a minimum number of guests for budget purposes.
We’ll help you choose the right activation and format for your guest count during planning.
