The Challenge

The client had always hosted a traditional seated, plated dinner — but for this year’s offsite event during a national insurance conference, the venue and guest flow called for something different.

The goal: a reception-style experience that would drive real networking and engagement, stand out from other hosted events that week, and feel distinctly different from typical conference programming.

Our Approach

Event Design & Décor We built an event design approach around MoPOP’s bold architecture, layering in pop-culture-inspired décor, branded elements, and intentional lighting to transform the Sky Church into a high-energy reception space. See our Event Design page for more on how we approach design and décor for events like this one.

Entertainment & Guest Experience Live roller dancers, styled in pop-art fashion, activated the space with movement and surprise throughout the evening. An AI-powered photo booth gave guests a personalized, on-theme takeaway. Learn more about our Event Entertainment and Custom Event Activations.

Audiovisual & Production Custom media content was designed specifically for the Sky Church’s massive screen, bringing the client’s brand story to life in a playful, high-impact way throughout the evening. See our video and media production services for more.

Destination & Offsite Management As the client’s destination management partner, we handled every piece of offsite logistics — a multi-modal transportation plan using both charter buses and Seattle’s monorail, supported by a custom branded instructional video and onsite staff managing guest flow throughout the evening. See our Seattle Destination Management and Event Transportation pages for more.

Aligning creative vision with operational execution, our team acted as a strategic extension of the client’s own — delivering an offsite event that felt effortless for guests and impactful for the brand.

Results & Outcomes

  • Event attendance grew year-over-year, from 103 to 116 guests
  • The event generated buzz beyond the room itself — a conference session speaker referenced the offsite during his keynote the next day, reaching attendees who hadn’t been there
  • Standout moments: high-impact live entertainment that energized guests throughout the evening, and lounge furniture and spatial design that turned a large venue into an intimate, social environment
